We estimate this will take between 10 and 16 hours at our standard hourly rates. Total costs are estimated at between £3,000 and £5,000 + VAT.
The exact cost will depend on the individual circumstances of the case. For example, if there is a single beneficiary and no assets, the costs will be at the lower end of the range. If there are multiple beneficiaries, property and multiple bank accounts, the costs will be higher.
We will handle the entire process for you. This offer applies to estates where:
- There is a valid will
- There is no more than one property
- There are no more than three bank or credit union accounts
- There are no other intangible assets
- There are no more than three beneficiaries
- There are no disputes between beneficiaries regarding the division of property. If there are disputes, it will probably lead to increased costs
- There is no inheritance tax payable and executors do not have to file a full account with HMRC
- There are no claims against the property
- All assets are located in the UK
Expenses included in this fee:
- Probate application fee of £155
- £7 fee for swearing an oath (per executor)
- Land Charges Bankruptcy Search (£2 per beneficiary)
- Statutory Creditor Notices (protects against unexplained claims from unknown creditors) – £80-300 (inc VAT)
Expenses are costs associated with your case that are payable to third parties, such as legal fees. We handle expense payments on your behalf to ensure a smoother process.
